This publication consists of 18 case studies dealing with the management of social welfare programs and is intended mainly for use by the faculty and students of interdisciplinary studies in management/social work. The case studies have been gathered from voluntary and public agencies that provide a wide range of social services and are located mainly in the mortheastern United States. Of the 18 case studies, 13 are followed by commentaries by an educator in business management and an educator in social work, which include recommended study questions and readings relevant to the particular case study.
