Chapter 2 describes some of the pitfalls involved in the communication process and offers strategies for avoiding them. The third chapter discusses the crucial roles played by self-esteem, perceptions, and effective listening in communication and offers suggestions for enhancing the self-esteem of teachers and staff. The importance of nonverbal communication and how it functions are described in the fourth chapter.
