The Role of Universities in Workers Education.
International Labour Office, Geneva (Switzerland).
Should universities collaborate with trade unions and workers' education bodies? If so, how and why? These and other related questions were explored in a research project undertaken by the International Labour Office and provided the basis for a symposium held in Geneva, November 1973. This document summarizes the research findings, relevant points of the symposium discussions, and the conclusions reached by the participants, as well as their contributions with regard to distinctive natural experiences. The information contains the form, nature, and extent of the collaboration between universities and trade unions in the field of workers' education. (MJM)
