This book is a collection of eight speeches given at a 1978 symposium dealing with citizen participation in the collective bargaining process in public schools. The theme of the papers is public access to and influence on the bargaining process. Five of the eight speeches are followed by a discussion by symposium participants. Some of the topics covered include the public access movement in California, the parent-teacher relationship in collective bargaining, and citizen involvement in teacher negotiations. (Author/LD)
