Field-Proven Programs to Conserve Energy in Schools.
Association of School Business Officials, Chicago, IL.
This publication presents field-proven school energy conservation programs, practices, procedures, and ideas that can assist educators with the resource allocation challenges caused by the international energy situation. The programs presented are representative of a broad spectrum of school and school-related organizations from 15 widely dispersed states and one Canadian province. The programs range from those concerned with the public relations aspects of school energy conservation programs to manual procedures to control and reduce energy consumption; and from behavioral approaches to highly sophisticated and fully automated programs to accomplish desired results. In addition, a listing is supplied of the names, addresses, and phone numbers of individuals and organizations who are willing to share greater details about their respective programs. (Author/MLF)
