An international seminar on in-service education of science teachers was held in Czechoslovakia in 1983 and was attended by educational experts from eight countries. Representatives from the Soviet Union, the Polish People's Republic, the Bulgarian People's Republic, the German Democratic Republic, the Federal Republic of Germany, India, Colombia, and Tunisia participated in the seminar. The proceedings focused on: (1) the aims and didactic concepts of the lifelong education of teachers of selected science subjects; (2) the implementation of the concept of the lifelong education of these teachers; and (3) the possibility of cooperation in inservice programs on a regional and international scale. A listing of recommendations that were made at the seminar is provided. Also included is a list of the seminar's participants, its program, and selected bibliographic notes. (ML)
