The Training of Trainers in Educational Planning. Report of an IIEP Workshop (Nairobi, Kenya, June 29-July 10, 1987).

The main aim of the International Institute for Educational Planning's program "Training the Trainers" is to improve the technical skills of planning specialists and to develop their organizational capabilities so that they can run national training programs. The objectives of the workshop described in this reort were to design the content of national training programs and to prepare, for demonstration purposes, a limited set of teaching materials. The report is divided into three parts. The first presents a detailed program of the workshop, a list of participants and resource persons, and an evaluation questionnaire. The second part describes the training program and the training materials prepared by the participants during the workshop. The final part contains national reports on educational planning at the regional level from: (1) Kenya; (2) Ethiopia; (3) Malawi; (4) Tanzania; (5) Uganda; (6) Zambia; and (7) Zimbabwe. (JD)
