The primary purpose of the 1994 Mathematics/Science Education and Technology Symposium was to help foster the exchange of information related to the research, development, and applications of learning and teaching using information technology in mathematics and science educations. The theme "Emerging Issues and Trends" was identified to encourage papers written on the rapidly changing technology and how this technology can help improve mathematics and science education.
