The articles in this publication were contributed by memebers of the faculty of education and students in the Master of Arts in Education graduate program at Baldwin-Wallace college in Berea, Ohio. The lead article presents a brief history of the conception and development of the Master of Arts in Education program which was begun in 1974. The articles range from light to scholarly. Included are writings on the topics of: (1) the pupil teacher relationship; (2) the role of the modern day high school principal; (3) multicultural education; (4) predicaments of ethnic and racial minorities in American society in the 1980s; (5) learning theories based on brain research; (6) teacher expectations; (7) reading in silence; (8) a critique of Kohlberg's theory of moral development; and (9) how teacher attitude affects student motivation.
