The purpose of this annual review is to report, evaluate, encourage and help guide progress in environmental education (EE), particularly as it relates to out-of-school youth education. It aims to provide a critical overview of the progress of EE in the United Kingdom, provide information on important initiatives and developments, and use evidence of the past year to identify issues and priorities for the coming year. Its goals are to assist and encourage all those interested or involved in working in this area by providing a coherent and authoritative review of the year and of trends.
