This document is comprised of the six issues of volume 19 of "First Teacher," a periodical providing helpful activity ideas and information on child development for early childhood teachers and caregivers. The major topics for each themed issue are as follows: (1) Exploring Letters and Numbers, including flannel board activities, and number rhymes and chants (Jan-Feb); (2) Games for Growing, including circle games, music and movement games, and homemade games/puzzles (Mar-Apr); (3) Changes, including comparing children and butterflies, and observing changes under the soil (May-Jun); (4) Beat the Heat, including outdoor activities, experimenting with the heat of the sun, and water play (Jul-Aug); (5) Learning Centers, including science centers, and a drama corner (Sep-Oct); and (6) Holiday Magic, including enjoying the magic of giving, de-stressing the holidays, and holidays in different cultures (Nov-Dec). Features appearing regularly include "Helpful Hints,""Toddler Time,""In the Book Corner," and reproducible pages of activities for parents. (KB)
