PDQ: Planning and Development of Quality Services in the Schools, Instructional Guide, Student Manual and Reference Materials.
Wright, Sandra Raymore
The instructional guide, student manual, and reference materials were developed by the PDQ Project, Planning and Development of Quality Services in the Schools, an effort by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association to provide public school personnel working with communication disordered children with information and training related to better management. The instructional guide contains an outline of the management process, group process exercises, descriptions of three field-tested management programs, and a summary of a managment resource document, "Caseload Issues in the Schools." The student manual is intended to be used as a supplementary text or outside assignment and contains descriptions of the three management programs (concerned with program management, quality assurance, and data collection); a description of the management resource document on caseload accountability; a case study demonstrating application of the three systems to a program management problem, forms and supporting material from each of the systems, and a discussion of their interrelationship. The packet of reference materials contains transparency masters, another case study of a program management problem, and forms and worksheets to support case study activities. (DB)
