Krueger, Ralph R.
This manual is intended for instructors who wish to help students improve their writing skills. Part 1 of the manual which is divided into three sections details reasons why students have problems with writing, and includes examples of some faulty constructions. The final section includes: (1) a summary of strategies for improving student writing; (2) how to make good writing skills important to students; and (3) instructional activities with suggested student responses. Part 1 also includes a section on grading student papers as part of the revision process, a select bibliography, and appendices describing the English Language Proficiency Program and English Writing Courses. Part 2, "For the Students," consists of a number of sections which the instructor can duplicate for the students to use as writing aids. (SM)
