"Wheat for Kids" contains information at the elementary school level about: the structure of the wheat kernel; varieties of wheat and their uses; growing wheat; making wheat dough; the U.S. Department of Agriculture Food Guide Pyramid and nutrition; Idaho's part of the international wheat market; recipes; and word games based on the information contained in the pamphlet. The Teacher's Guide reemphasizes the student materials in "Wheat for Kids." It contains the master copy for classroom exercises and activities using math (word problems), art (drawing, making wheat sculpture), and critical thinking exercises (creating and interpreting graphs and charts) to help students learn about wheat.
