This textbook can be used in a third year classroom to help pupils take an interest in the quality of their English and speak more correctly, more effectively, more agreeably, and to write with due regard for the essentials of good form. Provision is made for individual differences in pupil ability and achievement. This book includes the technique of preparation, to be acquired by means of learn-to-study exercises, which combine directed study and silent reading. The appendix following the lessons supplies additional optional material.
