Using the Cell Signaling Literature to Teach Molecular Biology to Undergraduates
Smith, Catherine Novotny
Biochemistry and Molecular Biology Education, v30 n6 p380-383 Nov 2002
Molecular biology concepts can be quite abstract and difficult to grasp for even the most talented student. Reducing potential frustration in the learning process, allowing students to take ownership of the course material, and training students to think critically and analytically are common objectives for educators. In this article, pedagogical methods that incorporate the scientific literature to achieve these objectives are described. (Contains 1 table and 2 figures.)
