This autoinstructional packet, Part 1 of a two-part sequence, contains activities related to environmental education. Emphasis is placed on techniques used to obtain data on population growth and trends. It is suggested that it be used with high school students who have had a general introduction to the study of populations and can define same. The behavioral objectives are listed, divided into general objectives (3) and specific (2). A worksheet for answers and mathematical computations is included with the script.
