This document is an instructional module package prepared in objective form for use by an instructor familiar with the determination of color in water using the visual comparison method and the spectrophotometric method. Included are objectives, instructor guide, student handouts, and transparency masters. A videotape is also available from the author. The module addresses the importance of color in water, preparation of standards, relationship of hue to wavelength, use of a spectrophotometer, measuring transmittance, and calculating and reporting results.
