"LinkWay" for Educators: An Introduction.
Bull, Glenn; And Others
This book is designed to provide a quick introduction to LinkWay (one of a new generation of hypermedia programs) for teachers who are familiar with other computer applications, but who may not have worked with hypermedia applications. The book serves as a tutorial that quickly introduces the basic elements of LinkWay, thereby making more extensive or detailed sources, such as the documentation that comes with the program, comprehensible. The book contains the following five chapters: (1) "Electronic Pages" covers starting the program, creating new folders, creating new pages, copying a page, and using predrawn clipart; (2) "LinkWay Buttons" includes opening a folder, creating an invisible button, editing your button, hypertext, and using a link button; (3) "LinkWay Fields" contains information on creating fields, entering text in fields, and pop-up text fields; (4) "Using Base Pages" covers topics such as creating base pages, LinkWay database, and using the address book; and (5) "LinkWay Folders" includes topics on the story line, design elements, the order of pages, and instructional strategies. The appendix describes LinkWay tools, including the text editor, font/icon editor, and LinkWay Capture. (TMK)
