Application Processing Updates and EDExpress Training, 2001-2002.
Office of Student Financial Assistance (ED), Washington, DC.
This guide contains training materials for processing applications under the EDExpress system. The first session reviews changes in the application delivery system for 2001-2002, including those related to the: (1) Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA); (2) FAFSA on the Web; (3) Student Aid Report (a paper form that is mailed to the applicant in response to the application) and Institutional Student Information Record (ISIR); (4) Central Processing System edits and data matches; and (5) EDExpress. This sessions is offered to all financial aid administrators with an interest in knowing how changes to the delivery system affect their office's operations or software system. Session 2 provides hands-on training to current and future users of EDExpress on queries. Session 3 contains hands-on training for novice users of EDExpress. New users learn how to use the software, import and review ISIRs, and make and export corrections. Four appendixes contain a glossary, the forms used, an ISIR record layout, and the query fields.
