Presents a five-step plan for implementing ongoing, systematic self-assessment of preservice physical education teachers' teaching behaviors which allows preservice teachers to monitor their progress from the beginning to the completion of the pedagogy program. Steps include: identify and define the teaching behavior; develop a plan; modify existing instruments; develop a common set of questions; and develop guidelines for inclusion in a portfolio. (SM)
