We live in a world where mobility is more necessary than ever before, and adaptive vehicles and other equipment are necessary for some individuals. This article recommends that those in need of an adaptive vehicle or other adaptive equipment always purchase from a National Mobility Equipment Dealers Association (NMEDA) dealer, and discusses the factors involved in making a decision about the purchase of an adaptive vehicle. Funding sources for adaptive equipment purchases are also presented.
