Parker, Kevin C. H.; Roberts, Nasreen; Williams, Cheryl; Benjamin, Marcia; Cripps, Linda; Woogh, Carolyn
Journal of Adolescence, v26 n3 p283-93 Jun 2003
The Rapid Response Model (RRM) provides psychiatric services to children and adolescents seen at the Accident and Emergency (A&E) department or at the Urgent Consultation Clinic. In a naturally occurring experiment, the RRM was introduced, withdrawn and restarted. The RRM reduced nighttime Emergency Consultations and inpatient admissions from A&E, while it increased daytime consultations and daytime admissions. (Contains 14 references and 3 tables.) (GCP)
