Trends in the social work education of Pacific/Asian-American (P/AA) students, distribution of P/AA faculty, and P/AA immigration into the United States are reviewed, and means for improving training programs to provide better equipped social workers are discussed. A study was conducted in Ohio to collect information about the educational backgrounds, job responsibilities, and perceptions of current employees of community health education programs and to project future needs. Implications of the study pertain to college programs that train personnel for this field. (PP)
