Retzlaff, Paul D. – Perceptual and Motor Skills, 1982
To determine by classical time-estimation procedures if Type A persons estimate the passage of time differently than Type B persons, undergraduate male students, classified by the Jenkins Activity Survey, were asked to estimate several time periods. Responses to verbal, production, and reproduced time-estimation tasks were not significantly…

Longo, Josephine; And Others – Perceptual and Motor Skills, 1982
In two sessions, the duration and tempo of toy play of infants and reaction of frustration were measured. Correlations indicated a general relationship between response persistence during play and attempts to escape frustrating situations. (Author/CM)

Reynolds, Cecil R.; Kaufman, Alan S. – Perceptual and Motor Skills, 1980
The conjugate lateral eye movement phenomenon was investigated for 52 children aged 2 through 10 using both spatial and verbal-analytic questions. The phenomenon was observed in 50 subjects and appeared well-established by age 3 1/2. Some interesting developmental findings and discrepancies with the results of adult studies are noted. (Author/SJL)

Bearden, William O.; And Others – Perceptual and Motor Skills, 1979
Describes unique differences between usage segments in beliefs, perceptions, and anticipated situational influences regarding the salient dimensions underlying motivations to use marijuana. (Author)

Ozolins, Delmar A.; Anderson, Robert P. – Perceptual and Motor Skills, 1980
The effects of feedback on the approaches of 20 hyperactive and 20 hypoactive children (ages 6 to 10) to a vigilance task were studied. Results showed that hyperactive Ss had more errors than hypoactive Ss under the feedback for correct responses condition and fewer errors under the feedback for false alarms condition. (PHR)

Aamodt, Michael G.; And Others – Perceptual and Motor Skills, 1982
The personality profiles of nonathletes and baseball, football, and track team members were investigated as segmented types. The Personality Profile System found no differences in baseball players from nonathletes, and football players and track team members were more dominant and less patient than nonathletes. (Author/CM)

Farley, Frank H.; Reynolds, Valerie J. – Perceptual and Motor Skills, 1980
The contribution of individual differences in physiological arousal to intellective assessment in 29 junior high school learning disabled children was studied. (Author/PHR)

Anderson, Dean F.; And Others – Perceptual and Motor Skills, 1982
Investigating the effect of age and temporal placement of a modelled skill on performance of a balance task of 60 boys (seven and nine years old) indicated significant effects of age, temporal appearance of the model, and an interaction of model by age for time on-balance. (Author/PN)

Draper, Thomas W.; Munoz, Milagros M. – Perceptual and Motor Skills, 1982
A relationship between an anomaly of the footprint suggested by ancient Abhidhamma meditations and Minor Physical Anomalies Scale was observed in children. The footprint anomalies correlated with the activity levels of children in the same way as the scores on the scale and consistently with prior research using the scale. (Author/RD)
