Suggests that improved access to monographs in microform through bibliographic control would increase ease of use. Described is a research project which investigated cooperation between microform publishers and librarians in order to develop better bibliographic tools. (SW)

Reviews the major problems in the bibliographic control of microforms, particularly monographs in microform. The shortcomings of current practices in the cataloging of microforms are identified, and suggestions are made for the improvement of bibliographic access to these materials.
