Results of a questionnaire of administrators of community living arrangements programs for the developmentally disabled in Pennsylvania (N=116) found that some programs promoted relationships with neighbors, but others wished to keep the role of neighbors to a minimum. (Author/DB)

A Statewide Assessment of Attitudes toward the Handicapped and Community Living Programs.

Results from a statewide survey (Arkansas) indicated that (1) accetpance of more severly disabled persons is likely; (2) that the knowledge about mentally retarded, cerebral palsied, epileptic, and autistic individuals is accurate; and (3) that attitudes toward the disabled and community living facilities are positive.
