Concluded that experimental group subjects significantly outperformed the control group subjects in Verbal Consultation on the posttest but experimental and control groups did not differ significantly in Nonverbal Consultation. An instructional package consisting of modeling, written and behavioral rehearsal, and feedback was used to teach communication behaviors to emotionally handicapped students, ages ranging between 11 and 17 years.
