Enesco, Ileana; Rodríguez, Purificación; Lago, Mª Oliva; Dopico, Cristina; Escudero, Ana – European Journal of Psychology of Education, 2017

Flett, Gordon L.; Hewitt, Paul L.; Su, Chang; Flett, Kathleen D. – Canadian Journal of School Psychology, 2016
The pressures inherent in trying to be perfect can undermine learning and exacerbate anxiety in certain students. In the current article, we review existing research and theory on the role of perfectionism in language learning anxiety and performance deficits. Our analysis highlights the complexities inherent in the perfectionism construct,…

Principe, Gabrielle F.; Ceci, Stephen J. – Journal of Experimental Child Psychology, 2002
Explored effects of naturally-occurring peer interactions and repeated suggestive interviews on preschoolers' event memories. Assent rates for misleading…

Greenstock, Jemma; Pipe, Margaret-Ellen – Child Abuse & Neglect: The International Journal, 1996
This study investigated the influence of peer support and leading or misleading questions on reports of a neutral event by 48 children (ages 5 to 10). Younger children made significantly more errors in response to directly misleading questions than to indirectly misleading questions. Peer support did not influence children's prompted recall…

Politzer, Robert L. – Foreign Language Annals, 1980
Reviews research on the language learner and immersion-type bilingual education programs. It is noted that formal foreign language teaching may be needed in these programs for primary school children. It is suggested that research is needed and that a combination of functional and formal approaches be used. (Author/AMH)

Hine, Mary Sue; And Others – Journal of Special Education, 1990
Eleven learning-handicapped students, ages 8-13, generated text at microcomputers both alone and as members of dyads. Examination of mechanical errors revealed a lower error rate in the dyad condition compared to working alone. The relationship between error monitoring and the social interaction needed for collaboration is discussed. (Author/JDD)
