These hearings before the Senate Select Committee on Nutrition and Human Needs focused on ways to provide adequate nutrition to millions of children attending schools not participating in the National School Lunch and Child Nutrition Programs. Hekman, administrator, Food and Nutrition Service, and Mr. Herbert Rorex, director, Child Nutrition Service, Food and Nutrition Service; Mrs. Gretchen Kraus, chairman, Nutrition Education Committee, Woman's Auxiliary to the Massachusetts Medical Society; and Mr. Patrick Temple-West, director, Nutritional Development Services, Archdiocese of Philadelphia.
