Rules that define unprofessional conduct in New York State are presented by the State Board of Regents pursuant to the Education Law. General provisions for all professions are presented, along with general provisions for health professions and design professions. In addition, special provisions are presented for the following professions: medicine, dentistry and dental hygiene, veterinary medicine, pharmacy, optometry, ophthalmic dispensing, public accountancy, certified shorthand reporting, psychology, and massage.
