The text of a Congressional hearing regarding the use of lie detector devices, particularly polygraph machines and whether they are accurate in truth and fact detecting in the work place is provided in this document. Special focus is given to the Employee Polygraph Protection Act. Initial statements by Congressmen Matthew G. Martinez, Steve Gunderson, Stewart B. McKinney, and George Darden are presented.
