The Right of Public School Employees to Send Their Children to Private Schools: The Demise of "Cook v. Hudson."
Johnson, T. Page
West's Education Law Reporter, v68 n1 p21-35 Aug 15 1991
The demise of "Cook v. Hudson" stems from its failure to accord proper value to public school employees' constitutional right to select private schooling for children. Unjustified school board attempts to terminate the employment of staff enrolling their children in private schools will not survive the "Pickering" balance-of-interests test. (122 references) (MLH)
