Q Methodology. Sage Research Methods Cases Part 1
James C. Rhoads
Sage Research Methods Cases
Q methodology is a conceptual framework and set of procedures used to systematically study the subjective. Since publication of "The Study of Behavior" by William Stephenson in 1953, Q methodology has become increasingly popular among students of the human sciences interested in scientifically studying the subjective. Q methodology studies have been employed in the fields of Education, Health Care, Political Science, Popular Culture, Psychology, Public Policy, Sociology, among others. In this entry, Q methodology is introduced and a case study is used to exemplify the steps necessary to successfully carrying out a research project that employs Q. The case study involves examining the structure of opinion regarding US foreign policy, among experts in the field. [This content is provided in the format of an e-book.]
