Results are presented of a survey of 20 community radio organizations operating in Canada. For each of the 20 agencies, information is provided relating to: (1) the name and address of the organization; (2) the name and population of the community served; (3) the station's call letters, frequency, and power; (4) the date of the station's license; (5) the purpose of the organization; (6) a description of the programing provided; (7) the languages used in braodcasting; and (8) the equipment used. The results of the survey show that these community radio groups operate on a largely volunteer basis and provide a wide range of local services such as reporting local events, discussing community concerns, and airing local talent.
