The Outdoor Recreation Resources section of the Virginia Division of Parks and Recreation has compiled in this document a variety of information on fees and charges in Virginia's many public leisure services programs. This information was generated from three surveys conducted in 1981, 1984, and the summer of 1987. By combining the previous data with 1987, the user has the opportunity to compare information, examine specific fees, and recognize trends. The data can be examined by locality (or agency) as well as by fee or program type. Part I of this document covers general information. Part II offers fees and charges classification--entrance, admission, rental, and user. The final section presents special services--entry fees, instructional classes, playgrounds/summer camps, and special events. (JD)
