Education Commission of the States (ECS) researched Statewide Longitudinal Data Systems (SLDS) policies in all states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico to provide this comprehensive resource. ECS designated four state agencies as core agencies within any SLDS: early learning, K-12, postsecondary, and workforce. As states continue to build full P20W systems, some states currently make connections between two or three of these types of data. This resource indicates which of the four core agencies are included in each state.
