Child Nutrition Programs: 2023 Annual Report
Utah State Board of Education
The Utah State Board of Education Child Nutrition Programs (CNP) administers several federal food programs and sub programs, appropriated under United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), and administered by Food and Nutrition Services (FNS). The federal food programs are primarily designed to ensure sponsors have the necessary knowledge and resources to enable them to provide children and chronically disabled adults access to safe and healthy meals. During the school year of 2023, Child Nutrition Programs throughout Utah played a critical role in continuing to provide meals to children. This report discusses the role of Utah's CNP and provides an overview of the school nutrition programs and community programs.
