Presents current perspectives on legal liability of group counseling in private practice settings. Discusses ethical and legal cases, confidentiality, duty to protect, and fee billing practices. Concludes, although practitioners cannot provide competent service if they have to worry about potential litigious clients, a little care to avoid problems will help minimize legal liabilities. (ABL)
