This publication is a guide to the terminology used to name Norwegian public educational institutions, both academic and vocational. For each type of school, listing is made by the Norwegian name and the following information is provided: English name equivalent, instructional level, normal age group served, duration of studies, terms used for class or year groups, examinations given, degree or diploma conferred, outlet (normal activity of graduating students), and titles of school personnel.
