This annotated bibliography includes summaries of 21 articles and books dealing with school physical education and athletic facilities. A brief introduction discusses recent innovations in the design and construction of athletic facilities, with particular emphasis on the need to accommodate increasing year-round sports participation by both male and female students, as well as by the general public.
