Leisure and Career Development at Mid-Life.
McDaniels, Carl, Ed.
This collection of papers represents the thoughts of five faculty members from three different divisions in the College of Education at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, who have been working together on the topic over the past 12 months. The papers represent an attempt to think through the entire interrelationship between leisure and career development at mid-life. The first paper articulates the basic issues in this relationship, setting the stage for the papers to follow. The remaining papers deal with the contributions of Adult Education, Vocational-Technical Education, recreation, and the special problems of minorities and women, all as they relate to the leisure-career development process at mid-life.
