This bibliography lists selected publications both from areas that relate pornography as a concept to libraries and, by extension, those that relate it to censorship. Introductory material includes listings of the Library Association of the City University of New York (LACUNY) 1987 Institute committee and emcees and LACUNY officers, and the 1987 Institute program. Following a consideration of the definitions of the concepts of obscenity and pornography, approximately 112 annotated entries are organized under 11 subject headings: (1) Definitions; (2) Bibliographies, Catalogs, and Other Reference Books; (3) Library Collections of Erotica; (4) Concerning Collections and Collecting; (5) History--Censorship through the Ages; (6) Pornography and the Law; (7) Pornography, Censorship, and Libraries; (8) Librarians' Self-Censorship and Self-Image; (9) Child Pornography; (10) Women and Pornography; and (11) Publishers on Pornography. Some of the abstracts were derived from those available in various online databases and existing bibliographies if the compilers considered them sufficiently descriptive. (KM)
