Each of the bibliography's 137 entries pertains to some aspect of transportation services in rural areas. Each entry, including books, reports, studies, and so forth, offers bibliographical information and the NAL call number. Some entries also include abstracts. A large portion of the cited material focuses on roads and highway systems in rural areas. Other subjects include public transportation, agricultural land access, public policy, rural development and rural transportation in specific regions or states.
