This bibliography contains 130 entries of English-language written materials available from the National Agricultural Library's (NAL) AGRICOLA database. Each of the entries, including books, studies, reports, and so forth, pertains to rural America's elderly population. Each entry includes bibliographical information and the NAL call number. Some entries also include abstracts. A large portion of the cited material focuses on the elderly populations in specific rural regions or states. Other subjects include independence of older people, self-esteem, medical care, demographics, and socioeconomic problems involving the elderly. The document also gives ordering information and an author index. All the listed citations were entered in the database between January 1979 and April 1988. (TES)
