This is a guide to several sources of financial aid for minority students who wish to attend graduate school in education. One of these sources is the school to which the student applies. When application forms and catalogs are requested, the student should also ask for financial aid information and forms. These may include the Graduate and Professional School Financial Aid Service form (GAPSFAS) which will evaluate the applicant's financial aid needs. Other sources are National Direct Student Loans, College Work Study programs, scholarships and grants. Foundations, professional associations, state agencies and other organizations not directly associated with a particular institution or graduate school help individual applicants.
