This document describes recordings of the Library of Congress's unique collections of folklife and ethnomusicology from South Carolina. Information given includes length of recording, name of recorder, dates of recording, and content of recording. Recordings include songs, spirituals, hymns, sermons, prayers, dialect tales, and street songs. Persons interested in listening to or ordering copies of these field recordings should request from the Archive of Folk Culture a "Guide to the Collections of Recorded Folk Music and Folklore in the Library of Congress."
