Minority Student Enrollments in Higher Education: A Guide to Institutions with Highest Percent of Asian, Black, Hispanic, and Native American Students.
Garrett Park Press, MD.
This resource guide provides data on minorities enrolled in 500 colleges and universities. Descriptions of each institution are followed by total student enrollment and the percentage of students from four minority groups: Asian, Black, Hispanic, and Native American. The types of academic programs offered by the institution are illustrated by examples of their major programs. The booklet is intended to direct employing organizations to institutions with higher than average minority enrollments, to allow similar educational institutions to compare their minority enrollment figures, and to identify for minority students those educational institutions of special interest to them. Besides the information directory, this booklet provides the following: (1) definitions of minorities; (2) general data on minorities in higher education; (3) minority student enrollment/degrees by field of study; (4) notes on college enrollment by minority group; and (5) a list of useful books.
