Instructional packages written in a special format have been shown to be effective in teaching the duties of coordinator jobs to untrained members of the Experimental Living Project. Programed instruction appears to be a valuable technology for the development of a community whose members are maximally involved with its management. (Author/JEG)

The development and validation of a system teaching problem-solving in pharmacotherapeutics is described. The module was developed for both small group and self-instruction using clinical cases in hypertension.
