Inspection of the factor structure of the Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children-III for four age groups from the standardization sample indicated a hierarchical arrangement of abilities when both two-factor and four-factor solutions were used. Both solutions indicated a strong general intelligence factor at all age levels studied. (SLD)

The Educational Testing Service Kit of Factor-Referenced Cognitive Tests contains 72 tests that are supposed to be markers of 23 latent cognitive constructs. Examination of the factor structure of four of these tests with 165 undergraduates suggests caution in using the measures as markers of distinct factors. (SLD)

Research relating to the factor structure of the Sixteen Personality Factor Questionnaire (16PF) and the Clinical Analysis Questionnaire is reviewed. The development of the new fifth edition of the Sixteen Personality Factor Questionnaire (16PF) is described. The factor structure of the new 16PF was explored with 4 samples ranging from 646 to 3,498 subjects.
